Description
This Grackle is common in the US and thrives in Florida. This one was sipping the water at Lake Tohopekiliga in Kissimmee. Here it takes a sip from the lake while perched on a slippery rock. These beautiful and underappreciated birds help keep down the mosquito and other bug problems. Though they look like it, they are not angry birds. They love to chatter with each other, especially their opposite sex, which is colored in a soft brown.

We have this large blue one and black ones. Also brown. I like that they are plentiful in our short Winter.
