Description
This amazing swan was sitting patiently while four of its newborn were staying close. One of two additional eggs are getting ready to burst to add to the brood. This is at beautiful Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. An free and easy afternoon walk provided an amazing variety of nesting birds. This rivals the Disney and Universal theme parks for the development of life long memories. Where else can you walk up to a friendly nesting swan? Later, the father of this brood will emerge and provide support in raising the young ones, including some stern warnings if you get to close. For now, the mother is confident that no one will interfere.

Thank you Carolyn. It was exciting to get so close. I imagine the little ones were less than a day old. The egg was a real plus. The father was in a protected area, and was not able to disturb the mother, or me. Mom did'nt care ... she was worried about her brood and eggs.
