A Snowy Egret Chick looks up above the legs standing by him to the mother above him. This chick was only a few hours old, yet it knew that its survival was in the hands of its mother. This nest was just a few feet above the water, with major danger from alligators below. There is a special wonder and beauty of innocence in these baby birds. And it is a great delight to witness them when they are so fuzzy and cute.

A retired helicopter pilot and Vietnam Veteran. Live in Kissimmee, Florida.... a beautiful place, with lots of photo opportunity.
