On a quiet sunset at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando, Florida, a small green heron finds a lonely perch. It is a loner among the many egrets, swans, cormorants, and anhinga that are so common at the lake.
This Green Heron is waiting for a partner. It is February, and comparable to prom night for the birds of the area ..... and relationships must be made. This stubby legged and short necked version of the Heron is a patient bird. It will find its mate, and life will go on for this beautiful, but less common creature.
About Dick Hudson
A retired helicopter pilot and Vietnam Veteran. Live in Kissimmee, Florida.... a beautiful place, with lots of photo opportunity. I photograph what I like, and it could be something different every day. This has become something of a quest for me. I want to become a Fine Artist.
