Second place in the Fine Arts America contest for " Sense of Loss"
Ve Davila, wearing the uniform jacket of WW2 Veteran Corporal Ken Agerter, is holding the flag that was given to his wife when he died in 1987. Corporal Agerter, who served in the Anti-Aircraft Artillery in the Philippines and other Pacific Islands, rarely got to wear this dress jacket, but he was fiercely proud of it. Ve is showing the deserved respect, while providing a true remembrance of the importance of a time long ago, and reminding us of the debt we have for men who serve their country in uniform.
